The person in the mirror....

Muffled screams amidst
deafening silence,
The world around spins
zooms in and out of the fog dense.
Struggling eyes looking,
searching for some hope.
The noose only tightens,
weapon being a silken rope.
Who do I call out to,
do you hear me friend?
Gasping for my last few breaths
as the rope nears my end.
I want to turn around,
to face the killer, I think
who could it be, remember,
behind stands the mirror!

  3. If I understand it correctly, then the rope which is tightening is held by none other than we ourselves here and we are getting choked by our own troubles and problems. Its us, ourselves, with whom we want freedom from. :)

  6. Quite a classic. Even I will be posting something on a classic note soon...You used the word 'amidst' in the first line and I used it in 3rd last I think.

Beautiful, like the new look of your blog...:)

    1. At the risk of sounding defensive, I think you haven't got the meaning of the poem completely correctly! Nonetheless, i accept your opinion1
